The house of Abdu’llah Pasha was the residence of the Governor of Akka , and later became the  home of Abdu’l-Baha from 1896 to 1910. It was also the birthplace of Shoghi Effendi   on 1st March in 1897 and where  the remains of the Bab were concealed for ten years before being moved to the Shrine on Mount Carmel. It was also here the first group of Western pilgrims met Abdu’l- Baha in 1898 and Abdul- Baha’s table talks were recorded and published as Some Answered Questions. The house of Abdullah Pasha is where Abdu’l -Baha wrote His first will and Testament and it is now a place of pilgrimage.
